Juneathon Day 16: Sleepus Interruptus

It’s 11pm so I’ll keep this kinda short once again. I want to get to bed, as I will be woken up at around 2 or 3am, when my husband gets up to leave on a trip. He plans to depart at some unGodly hour, to be sure he’s well south of NYC before rush hour. No one wants to get caught in that mess! At least I will get to go back to bed. He will have a 10 hr. drive ahead instead of sleep, poor dear.

Today’s Juneathon report: ran 2.2 mi. w/Jaime. Village run, so it was flat & not very taxing. No rain, for once! Sunny & 78 degrees. Aahhh, joy! Still not breathing well because of my cold, but I hardly cared, it was that nice outside. I did have less coughing so I must be on the mend.

Today’s photo: my reflection in a puddle, giving a positive outlook (thumbs up) on the weekend, despite more rain in the forecast. That’s a drag since I have only 1 choice for a running slot tomorrow — between 2 & 4pm. It’s the only time I can go, while my car is having new tires mounted. They said it will take about an hour. In leiu of hanging out in the service center lounge, I plan to run… if I can remember to wear/take my gear! The tire appt. falls at the end of a full day. I won’t have time to run earlier & after the tires, I’m meeting my friend Cathi for an early dinner (wife-gone-wild weekend starts at once, HA!). Cath & I have not seen each other for awhile, so it could be a long dinner. Thus I must run pre-Cathi… so pray with me, NO deluge between 2 & 4pm on Friday!

Plan B: I’ll throw a big bath towel in my car, along with my running shoes, just in case. And tell Cathi to choose a restaurant known for very casual dining atmospere. “Do you mind if my dinner partner is soaked w/sweat, rain or both? No? Great! Table for 2, please.”

Plan B proves you’re in Juneathon til the bitter end.
Enjoy your tire mount run. And the tires.

    Great photo

That is a great photo! I have to run tomorrow too because I am going to run on Monday and am not supposed to run 2 days in a row, like normal people, not Juneathoners!

Hooray for stinky dinner dates, we do that all the time after track. We all sit at a long table and DRIVE the rest of the patrons away. If I wasn’t so hungry, I’d feel sorry for them.
I’ve missed juneathon. I’m going to try to follow you and Mike for the rest of June…try to do it.
